This past summer 21stCentEd conducted a Summer of STEM camp in District 159 that featured programming to jumpstart the path of proficiency in STEM literacy among the student population. The campers took part in robotics and a shoe design course. At the end of the camp, the local dignitaries were in attendance for a STEM proclamation to let it be known that the commitment for STEM literacy was a top-down approach that reverberated throughout the entire community and not just the school District.
